Sociopaths the chameleons

Sociopaths are tricky they are like chameleons sometimes you don’t know what they are until too late. They will worm their way into your world and your heart. Sometimes into your very self. They have no feelings or emotions so become adept at copying others so they can be just like a mirror. They take what makes you you and flips it around. So you fall in love or admiration for them. They then isolate you from others specially others that might see beyond the mask. You become the center of their world, the most important thing on Earth. Who wouldn’t be flattered? Where are you going? Oh let me come with you my darling. You are seeing them? Oh dear you know they really aren’t good for you. Why don’t you quit your job? Stay home I make enough you deserve it. Oh my you are going to wear that? Makes you look a little fat maybe you should wear something that doesn’t show as much skin. When they are friends they are the best friends in the world. After awhile you will see that they see through all your other friends. The notice that the other friends are jealous so you really shouldn’t be around them. They buy things for you. So you will be grateful.

Notice the pattern? Then the reflection turns back on them. You must do what they tell you or lose their love or their friendship. There will be trials. If you love me you would. How can they be your best friend I am your best friend. Isolation.

When the isolation is complete they get control and soon you are doing and saying things that aren’t you because you aren’t you anymore. You have become the reflection of the sociopath.
